Worst Blog Of The Year(WBOTY)

I consider this is ad blog, check out the screenies -

What is this?

Ads Spamming?

From wikipedia -

A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting) and are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging which consists of blogs with very short posts.

I still can stand if the blog post has pictures only(consider it as content), but the blog posts above have nothing but title and below with advertisement as contents? To view the blog posts, click here and here, remember not to click the ads!

That's too much and I consider paulooi.com as Worst Blog Of The Year!

Think about it .....

The government has been criticizing the legality of "the gathering", however have they ever thought of "Why this is happening?", have they ever asked themselves about it?

We all know reaction has the cause.

I'm not interested in politics, or I don't like it at all. But we are living in the world where politics is unavoidable. To all the Malaysian, it's time to awake.

Uniform Distribution

Today I learn about uniform distribution, here's the wiki link -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_distribution

To learn statistics, it is easy but to master it, it seems to be the other way around.

Anyway I can't give up.

Bimodal Distribution

Regarding statistics, I'm still in early learning stage. I'm looking forward to understand more about it however this is never simple, anyway I learn about bimodal today, the information about bimodal can be found at the wiki -

Wikipedia is rocking.

Orthographic & Perspective Projection

I just learned about these two words when playing around with Inetvis, both of the them seems to be the vice-versa.

Orthographic projection is a means of representing a three-dimensional(3D) object in two dimensions (2D).

Perspective projection distortion is the inevitable misrepresentation of 3-dimensional space when drawn or "projected" onto a 2-dimensional surface.

For more details, you can check out the wikipedia links below -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthographic_projection

It seems to be fun to learn more about visualization presentation techniques.

Astronomy: For the newbies

I haven't opted for any telescope yet as I'm still looking for the one suitable and affordable, hence I need to study and doing some research before buying one, here are the links that I found useful -

http://www.my-spot.com/whatkind.htm

http://www.r-clarke.org.uk/starting_astro1.htm

http://www.nsaac.org/first_scope.htm

http://www.rocketroberts.com/astro/first.htm

http://www.scopereviews.com/begin.html

http://physics.weber.edu/planet/telescope_advanced.html

http://www.skyandtelescope.com/equipment/home/3303926.html

http://findascope.com/

Some of the information are redundant so I bet the redundant part is convincing, I figure there's no point to jump into buying expensive telescope but buying one that suits my need based on my budgets should be better approach.

Logarithmic

While learning about one of the argus tool rahisto, I came across logarithmic and don't have much idea about it, quickly googling grants me these two links that are pretty helpful -

http://www.chem.tamu.edu/class/brown/chem107/graphs/reading/logloglog.html

http://www.purplemath.com/modules/logs.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logarithm

They help me to understand logarithmic better.

The Sideline

Aside from the computer security and open source activities, I want to keep track and write other things I learn in life especially statistics and astronomy. I must admit I'm still amateur in these two fields however I think it's great to blog about them so that I can refer later.

Statistics
is interesting field to study, I think it might be functioning as a subsidiary or supporting capacity to my network flow analysis and research. While astronomy can kill my time easily and I can avoid computing.

Other than that, it would be great fun to blog about basketball and other casual activities that I'm doing from time to time.

Sometime we need to learn to see things differently.
